Devery’s Story (:30)

Devery is a resident physician and intern at the Alaska Family Medicine Residency, which is the only residency in the state of Alaska. She works in one of two federally qualified health centers in Anchorage that accepts Medicaid and says the clinic is "bursting at the seams” and that “being able to refer those people to Planned Parenthood and know that they will also be taken care of there is a huge resource.” See supporters in action: https://www.istandwithpp.org/supporters See more Planned Parenthood stories: https://www.istandwithpp.org/stories TAKE ACTION: https://www.istandwithpp.org/take-action Transcript Devery: I don’t work for Planned Parenthood. I work in one of two Federally Qualified Health Centers in Anchorage that accepts Medicaid. Our clinic is bursting at the seams. We are always full and we go through periods of time where we are actually so full we can’t accept new patients. GFX: Dr. Devery Mitchell | Resident Physician Devery: Being able to refer those people to Planned Parenthood and know that they will also be taken care of there is a huge resource. Without Planned Parenthood, these patients would have nowhere else to go. I’m an Alaskan doctor, and I stand with Planned Parenthood.more

Message from Cecile Richards: House Just Passed AHCA—Call your Senators | Planned Parenthood Video

The U.S. House of Representatives has voted on the worst women’s health legislation in a generation. Call your Senators to stop the bill → istandwithpp.org/call #IStandWithPP The American Health Care Act (AHCA), including the provision to prohibit people with Medicaid coverage from accessing preventive care at Planned Parenthood, has drawn widespread opposition from health care experts, including the American Public Health Association, the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, members of Congress from both parties, and a clear majority of American voters.
